1955 – 2026
Cheryl Maureen Jansen passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at the age of 71 years.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Ken Jansen; his wife, Stacie Engley; her grandson, Austin; and her daughter-in-law, Bernice Gordon. She also leaves behind extended family and a wide circle of friends. She was predeceased by her father, Anthony James “Auggie” Commanda; mother, Eleanor Shirley Cooco; and her son, Harold Penney.
Cheryl was a friend to everyone she met. She fiercely loved her family, her friends, and the many young people she cared for over the last 30 years. The people she worked with also held a special place in her heart. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
